Liquid Sunshine Turmeric Smoothie

Liquid Sunshine Smoothie-an delicious antioxidant smoothie with chia, coconut, turmeric and orange!

This turmeric chia smoothie incorporates several ingredients that are great for staying healthy on cold wintery days-turmeric, vitamin C filled citrus, ginger, maca powder and honey are all great for boosting the immune system and preventing viruses from taking hold.  A great morning recipe, this recipe can easily replace a glass of OJ in the morning!

Serves: 1 serving
Ingredients
  • 2 Tablespoons ground chia
  • meat and water from one young thai coconut
  • 2 peeled oranges
  • ½ inch fresh turmeric, peeled and finely grated
  • ½ fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 Tablespoon maca powder
Instructions
  1. Blend everything until smooth. Serve immediately
